I have an obscene amount of homolust for Batman.  This is especially true when it comes to Christopher Nolan’s take on the franchise, with both Batman Begins and The Dark Knight ranking as two of my favorite films ever (no short order, let me assure you).  When it comes to the toys though, a lot of the figures have been lacking.  Even the Movie Masters figures that came out for The Dark Knight, praised as they were for what they were offering in the 6″ scale, didn’t do much for me and so I held off on buying them.  In fact, the last Batman action figure I bought was from when Tim Burton’s film came out in 1989.  Well, technically it was my mom who bought it for me, and she bought it around March of 1990, but we’re just splitting hairs now!

So, it’s been nearly 20 years since I’ve owned a Batman figure.  Recently, I was made aware of this:

That looks so god danged gorgeous.  And it’s got articulation on top of it!  Now, this work of art comes from Hot Toys, which is known for making super high quality 1/6 scale figures (their Iron Mans in particular are stunning).  Figures from Hot Toys come at a price though: they usually cost anywhere from $200-300 easily.  This MMS DX 02 figure was no exception, coming in at a hefty$265 MSRP, so I simply swooned and sighed.

But then Angolz came to save the day, with a stunning 42% preorder discount, putting him at $180 after shipping.  Even though that’s still pretty pricey, I just couldn’t say no this time with the price cut, and so sometime in January I will be the proud owner of what appears to be a worthy Batman figure to match my fervent passion for the emotionally stunted brooding man with anger management issues. Definitely going to be reviewing this once it comes in.  I might actually pull out all the stops and do a video review.  If I will actually bother with the site, that is.

Now, I just have to find funds in order to get this guy and I’ll be set until the third film and Catwoman have been confirmed.  A Jim Lee era Hot Toys Catwoman figure that looks like either Kate Beckinsale or Emily Blunt (my top two picks for the role)?  My loins are moist.  Cock is incredibly hard too.
